MEET JAISON

Its hard to paint a picture with just words…but here we go.
I love to paint…obviously.
Growing up I filled endless sketch books with drawings of the human form, characters, images from everyday life & from inside my mind. I’m always practicing & looking to learn as much as I possibly can about art. I attended University of Pittsburgh for Fine Art & Painting. I love teaching art as well, but I will always consider myself an art student for life. I think it’s important to realize there is no “end” in ones art journey. You never quite know where the journey will take you- it’s about learning, listening & evolving. The best art comes from working on the edge; pushing beyond ones abilities… always striving toward something better than you can even imagine.
I’m a night owl, I love cats & I hope to be fully self sufficient on a huge plot of land with Stephanie one day very soon. I love gardening & I feel at peace with a guitar in my hand. My favorite thing to do is disappear deep into the Clarion woods to make music & art… I’m most likely there right now.

MEET STEPHANIE

You know when you're running or walking and you lose track of time completely? That's what painting is for me. When I paint, the flow state takes over and I’m completely immersed in the moment. It's a different state of consciousness.
My love for art and painting started at a young age when I would make designs out of leaves, mud, rocks, flowers, sticks.. anything I could get my hands on. I was basically a feral child living in the woods, creating sculptures, collages and paintings from nature!
I attended Edinboro University and studied Art Education, Studio Art, Painting & Printmaking. My biggest takeaway from college is that along with a lifelong passion for painting landscapes, I also enjoy portraiture. I love trying to find the spirit of the person in front of me, and being able to translate it onto the canvas. When you successfully paint a portrait, it’s the best feeling in the world…and I want more of that!

MEET OUR APPRENTICES
LouiE G. Schafer
Hey, guys.. Louie here! Steph & Jaison brought me in years ago to be their main helper & apprentice. I’ve learned a lot & I’m always around helping in the studios with this and that. I really help a lot, JJ & Bubby (Stephanie) will tell you the same! Sometimes I help so much that JJ makes me leave the studio to take a break, cause I’m just helping so much!!
I’ve dubbed my own style of painting as ’Meowism'. A style of Impressionism... only messier.
I’m hoping to launch into the Art world soon with my paintings. Wish me luck!
Mu mu baby
Hi, I’m Mu Mu! How do you do? I’m the main studio helper for sure around here. I’ve lived in 3 different art studios! I like to oversee all studio activities.. it’s a full time job. There’s always lots to do and we all stay pretty busy around here. I like to take naps right where the action is so if I’m needed, I’m right there to wake up and help. I do my part by encouraging JJ & Bubby to paint when they don’t want to and gently nibble their ankles when they need reminded to take a break.. or when I’m hungry. The treats are great around here! My belly is proof! I love meeting new people and greet all couples when they pick up their paintings. I’m nice.. unless you touch my belly. Don’t touch my belly. <3
